Measuring Portions is Not Necessary To Lose Weight
Many diets make much of serving sizes or potions of food in your diet. In fact, you’ve probably been on a diet before where you had to measure or weigh potions. If you’re like most people, you got mighty tired of all the weighing. While it is true that if you eat large portions at every meal, you will have a hard time losing weight, it is also true that many, many people who are not overweight eat the right amounts of food to maintain their weights without measuring their food.
In fact, that’s what we all used to do. 100 years ago, people probably would have laughed to hear of someone weighing all their food before eating it!
We Eat Too Much Partly Because Foods are Made To Be Addicting
Because of all the chemicals, excess sugar & salt in our foods we tend to crave these foods and often eat more than the right amount. We have found that for most people, if you cut out processed foods and start eating whole, real, nutrient-dense foods, you will not need to measure your portions.
