Foods With Toxins

Some Foods Are Toxic and Have No Place In Your Everyday Diet

We’ve already talked some about diet foods with chemical additives & preservatives, and polyunsaturated oils with trans fatty acids that are toxins to your body, but there are some other foods that contain toxins that you might want to reduce or eliminate from your diet.  They include foods with pesticide residues, overcooked, smoked burned and charred meats, food like fish with heavy metal contamination, and food preserved with nitrates like sandwich meats.

Pesticide Residues on Your Foods

Food that have been grown conventionally, with pesticides, almost always have pesticide and herbicide residues left on them that you will eat along with your food.  Would you spray Raid on an apple, even a little bit, and then eat it?  Well, some pesticides are left on the outside of your foods, and more is inside the food where you cannot wash it off - the plant pulled it up inside from the ground.  Many people will try to convince you that pesticide residues in your diet are perfectly safe, however, is it just a coincidence that higher chemical levels in our bodies have occurred at the same time as higher cancer rates?

Even Organic Foods Often Contain Some Pesticides

Foods that are grown organically, while not always completely free from pesticides, have much lower residue levels, on average, and as such are better foods to eat in your diet on a regular basis.  In addition, organic food have been shown to contain higher nutrient levels and lower heavy metal levels, so try to eat organic food in your diet if at all possible.
